How quickly can you get addicted to Vicodin? I had shingles and took it 4x day for about 2 weeks for pain.?
I cut down to 2 per day as well as afterwards 1 per day in the final week. Yesterday we had my final the single as well as currently we feel miserable. Sweaty, hot, queasy as well as the hideous headache. Was we upon it prolonged sufficient to get addicted? we have never had it prior to removing shingles.

if it gave you a feeling of euphoria, you may need to tell your doctor there are pain meds they can give you till lortabs or vicodin same thing, is out of your system..if you really want to get rid of that feeling, they are 5 and 10 dollars a peice on the street so you may not want to get too addicted.
Yes, you are withdrawing now. If you can just deal with the yucky feeling you have for another day or so, you will be fine. Don’t give in and try to find anymore! You will only be making it worse on yourself and it will be harder to come off of them when you run out the next time. Unfortunately, it doesn’t take long for your body and your mind to think that it needs narcotics. Hang in there!
No, you are going through withdrawal. Your body has become used to the medicine coping with its pain. The Hydrocodon in the vicodin is almost like befriending the body’s nervous system. Take the friend away and your body’s nervous system sends the body into a withdrawal.
Withdrawal means: ‘The act or process of ceasing to use an addictive drug.’ Your body is coming to new change.
Addiction means: “the state of being enslaved to a habit or practice or to something that is psychologically or physically habit-forming.” Unless you have a habit forming of narcotics than you are not yet an addict. But I do see that an addiction can start if you continue the Drug. That is why your doctor is slowly taking you off of the meds, because if you doctor took the drug away from you in total than your body would go into withdrawal shock which would easily make your body crave for more Vicodin and also Vicodin for a long period of time can lead to liver damage. So be cautious of your body’s messages and don’t ignore any symptoms.
Vicodin and Morphine is classified by the U.S government as a ‘scheduled III drug’. Which means it is more tightly regulated than most medications because Vicodin is a very powerful drug that can lead to both physical and physiological addiction.
Keep your doctor in notification of your progress if feeling skeptic of your recovery from the drug.
Good Luck
