However, they have recently found a therapy that seems very promising. It is called PUVA which is a combination of the drug Psoralen with UV-A light. The way PUVA works is that Psoralen sensitizes your skin to a certain wavelength of light (UV-A). After taking a pill, you go to a tanning booth and are exposed to this light. The light stimulates melanocytes from surrounding skin to migrate into the vitiligo patches and can restore some color to these lesions. Vitiligo isn't treatable with any degree of success. In case I wasn't clear: Homeopathy is not real. It relies 100% on the placebo effect.
