when thy give them the injection there is a minute number of the measles antigens… this Number is not enough to trigger the disease. your blood cells find the tiny antigens and fight it off basically … creating a defence against the disease… if the measles germ comes back into contact with your body the blood cells fight it off again … because they already have the defence
